About SHLB
The Schools, Health & Libraries Broadband (SHLB) Coalition is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. We strive to close the digital divide by promoting high-quality broadband for anchor institutions and their communities. Our members include hundreds of commercial and nonprofit organizations who support our mission.

Alice Lawson
SCN is a wireless network using CBRS spectrum and WiFi to provide free internet to low-income residents and empower them to run their own local, community-centered, and community-owned Internet access networks and digital infrastructure. The project is a collaboration involving anchor institutions (University of WA, Seattle Public Schools, Seattle Public Libraries, community-based orgs), local government (Seattle, King County), and ISPs (Lumen).
