Organization Overview
E-Rate Wave is a monitoring service for the people who administer E-rate funding on behalf of schools and libraries: independent consulting firms, state and regional coordinators, and the service providers who bid on their projects.
E-rate money is committed through USAC, but it only reaches a school or library if someone notices in time — a commitment reduced in a funding wave, an FRN parked in PIA review, an invoice deadline that passes unused, a Form 498 missing a UEI so an approved invoice cannot be paid. A consultant carrying a hundred applicants across several states cannot watch all of that by hand, and small and rural public libraries are the applicants least likely to have anyone else watching for them.
E-Rate Wave reads USAC’s published data several times a day for every applicant in a firm’s book and reports what changed the morning it posts: wave commitments with their FCDL dates, PIA status and fifteen-day notices, Form 486 and invoice deadlines, appeal clocks, Category Two budgets with committed-but-unspent dollars flagged, newly posted Form 470s with their allowable contract dates, and newly created billed entities before their first filing. Each firm’s data stays in its own system, and the service never files in EPC.
The company is veteran-owned, based in Jacksonville, Florida, and serves a founding cohort of consulting firms managing books of up to roughly 150 applicants across multiple states.
