Professional Bio

Pete has responsibility for Broadband and Tribal Business Development across the US for Ciena. He has 17 years’ experience in the IT Network industry with the majority of that time leading sales, business development, channels and architecture teams within the US Regional Service Provider, Tribal, State & Local Government and MSO markets. He also has performed stretch assignments in cross functional roles such as Sales Operations, Strategy and Planning and Finance. Pete has spent the past 3 years at Ciena in a Business Development leadership role working with regional service providers, Tribal Nations, engineering and OSP construction firms, resale partners, OSS/BSS companies and private equity firms to try and bring internet connectivity to the unserved and underserved across America.

Pete lives in Holly Springs, NC with his wife of 20 years, his 2 children and his father-in-law. In his free time, Pete enjoys traveling and playing games with his family, throwing cornhole, fishing, and listening to live music.
