Michelle Simon

Michelle Simon is Director of the Pima County Office of Digital Inclusion, where she leads Connect Pima, the County’s strategy to expand access to affordable high-speed internet, technology devices, and digital skills. With more than 25 years of experience spanning technology, information management, workforce and economic development, and public service, she builds cross-sector partnerships among government agencies, municipalities, internet service providers, libraries, and community organizations. Her leadership helped secure a $30.3 million federal grant to develop a 134-mile open-access fiber network and advance initiatives including free community Wi-Fi hotspots, digital navigator services, and device-access programs. Under her direction, the Office has twice been recognized by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance as a Visionary Digital Inclusion Trailblazer.
