Professional Bio
Kim Gaffney Corriher is the Director of Government Operations and Associate Project Coordinator for the Southern Ohio Health Care Network (SOHCN) and a Grants administrator for Reid Consulting Group. Kim has been with Reid Consulting since 2007. She provides relationship management, coordination and writing talents in direct client interaction as well as in satisfying federal and state reporting requirements. Kim has been a member of SHLB since 2017.
As part of Reid Consulting Group, Kim and SOHCN Project Coordinator Tom Reid assisted the founding members of the SOHCN in the creation of the non-for-profit consortium of healthcare providers. Since 2007, the SOHCN has grown from three Health Care Providers (HCPs) to more than a dozen, with more than 350 circuits in 200+ physically diverse locations across Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky, focused in the Appalachian Region.
Outside of her SOHCN-specific work, Kim has worked on projects that have secured funding for the region from the FCC, NTIA, ARC and USDA.
Born and raised in New York’s Hudson Valley, Kim is a graduate of N.C. State University (2000), Marist College (2007) and Ohio University (2015). Kim, her husband Jason, and their son Gaffney live in New Orleans, where Jason is the Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Communications at Tulane University.

Statement of Interest for the Board of Directors
The SOHCN has been active in SHLB for more than a decade because the collective impact of like-minded professionals dedicated to addressing access and affordability issues for broadband in rural health care is the most valuable resource we can use to inform our consortia's practices. As a member of the team which created the SOHCN in 2007 in the Rural Health Care Pilot Program, the majority of my work over the past 20 years has been the protection and promotion of rural healthcare. Over the years, my role with SHLB has grown from being simply an active member, to presenting and moderating panels at AnchorNets, to my current term as one of the co-chairs on the RHC side. My role as co-chair will be coming to an end at the close of the calendar year, but so many of the important conversations that we've started and amplified in the past two years will not be ending. I anticipate my role on the SHLB Board primarily as that same continued protection and promotion the interests of community anchors - specifically healthcare side- in these national broadband conversations.
