Professional Bio
Ernesto Falcon was the former Senior Legislative Counsel at Electronic Frontier Foundation with a primary focus on intellectual property, open Internet issues, privacy, broadband access, artificial intelligence, and competition policy. He represented EFF’s advocacy, on behalf of its members and all consumers, for a free and open Internet before state legislatures and Congress. He left the EFF to run for the California state legislature in 2023.
Ernesto’s work includes pushing the state of California to pass the strongest net neutrality law in the country, designing California's $7 billion broadband infrastructure law, and leading EFF’s legislative advocacy work on copyright, broadband, artificial intelligence, and innovation. Prior to EFF, Ernesto worked in the United States House of Representatives and the non-profit sector in Washington D.C.
