In Albert’s current role as NYS Deputy Secretary for Finance & Technology, he is responsible for state agencies and efforts including those overseeing financial regulation, tax, technology development and policy, and broadband expansion. He is focused on the governor’s vision, including promoting a fairer financial services system, closing the digital divide, improving digital services, and the responsible use of emerging technology.
Previously, Albert served as the Director of Citywide Operations at New York City’s City Hall, where he oversaw numerous agencies and efforts, including technology and broadband expansion efforts. He holds a BA from Cornell University and an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
