As the former State E-rate Director for the Arizona Department of Education, Milan spearheaded the Arizona Broadband for Education Initiative, a groundbreaking effort that leveraged $13.5 million in state funds to build $180 million in infrastructure, delivering high-speed internet access to schools and libraries statewide. His work also includes the creation of the Final Mile Project, which connects rural student homes to affordable, high-speed educational internet.

I am deeply interested in joining the board of SHLB because I am passionate about bridging the digital divide and ensuring that every community, particularly those that are underserved, has equitable access to high-quality broadband. In today’s world, access to reliable internet is no longer a luxury but a necessity for education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. Without it, entire communities can be left behind, widening existing social and economic gaps.
