Annual SHLB Conference

Each year, the Annual SHLB Conference unites broadband champions from across the country to discuss the most pressing policy issues facing community anchor institution (CAI) broadband access. The three-day event features over a dozen breakout sessions and interactive workshops, several distinguished keynote presentations, ample networking opportunities, and much more.

The 9th Annual SHLB Conference will take place October 16 - 18, 2019, in Crystal City, Virginia.

"I like networking with people outside of my own circle, having access to industry leaders, and high-level decision makers. SHLB is excellent at bringing in top notch leaders/experts/trend-setters that we can help inform and who inform us." - SuAnn Witt, Nebraska Department of Education ~ "The one conference where we get both E-rate and RHC information." - Jane Kellogg, Kellogg & Sovereign LLC ~ "Excellent conference. This was my second SHLB and I can already feel my networks growing and my knowledge increasing. Thank you again!" - James Neal, Institute for Museum and Library Services ~ "The SHLB Conference has been a place for us to find partners, have conversations, and elevate the issues that we’re concerned about." - Angela Siefer, National Digital Inclusion Alliance ~ “I see SHLB as a convening of some of the best minds in both community anchor institutions and broadband policy. People from not only inside the beltway, but also from across the country. I get to learn about what other people are doing, and what’s successful...this is a huge collegial network that shares all this information...I can pick up the phone any day of the week and call people that I meet at the conference.” - Denise Atkinson-Shorey, President and CEO, e-Luminosity
