Annual SHLB Conference

Each year, AnchorNets: The Annual SHLB Conference unites broadband champions from across the country to discuss the most pressing policy issues facing community anchor institution (CAI) broadband access. The three-day event features over a dozen breakout sessions and interactive workshops, several distinguished keynote presentations, ample networking opportunities, and much more.

The 12th Annual SHLB Conference will take place from October 2 to 4, 2024 at the Gateway Marriott Hotel in Crystal City, VA. Check back often for updates about AnchorNets!

Call for Proposals

We're excited to launch our call for proposals for the 2024 AnchorNets Conference! We cordially invite you to contribute your expertise by submitting a proposal by Thursday, April 11, 2024.

There are three options for submissions:

Break-out Sessions: These are one-hour sessions featuring a panel of 3 speakers and a moderator on a specific topic. We anticipate 16 breakout sessions.

Plenary Addresses: Plenaries, or keynotes, are exclusive 15-30 minute speaking slots reserved for policymakers and anchor institution leaders. The plenary format can vary to include a stand-alone presentation or a fireside chat format.

Anchors Rock! Showcase: These 12 minutes presentations can include up to two speakers. The showcase provides a fantastic platform to elevate innovative and impactful work being done around the country by anchor institutions who are leading and advancing broadband connectivity and digital equity goals in their communities.
