Cybersecurity Workshop
Wednesday, October 7, 2026
01:15 - 04:00 PM
Room: TBD
Panel 1:
Join us to examine the trends, scope, and growing severity of cybersecurity challenges. For example, no E-Rate funds today are currently allocated toward cybersecurity training to protect this significant taxpayer investment. Furthermore, if the FCC expands E-Rate program eligibility to include Next Generation Firewalls and advanced network services, the technical complexity required to effectively implement and manage these solutions will increase substantially. Despite this, there remains no dedicated funding to equip beneficiary IT departments with the training necessary to implement best practices and ensure secure, effective configurations.
Panel 2:
The CyberPilot continues to move along at its own pace, but many schools and libraries were not selected and still need help. Learn about what you *can* do within the Eligible Services List guidelines help your institutions build their infrastructure strength and make themselves less vulnerable. Examples of Category 2 funding projects from around the country will be featured.
