SHLB Sings Our Thanks: 2021 Edition! December 16, 2021

Earlier this month, the SHLB Coalition hosted #BuildWithSHLB, a Giving Tuesday campaign to raise $20,000 in support of our work to close the digital divide through community anchor institutions. To put the “fun” in “fundraiser,” the SHLB team promised that if we reached our campaign goal, we’d virtually perform a broadband-themed rock song*. (*It should be noted that none of us are rock singers.)
Well, we did it! Thanks to our wonderful supporters, #BuildWithSHLB raised $20,659.20. Adding to that a generous matching contribution from the Benton Institute for Broadband & Society, SHLB will receive a total of $25,659.20.
Words cannot express how grateful we are to every person who donated, as well as our board members, members, and those who shared #BuildWithSHLB. We especially appreciate Benton, for kindly doubling the impact of our donors.
